For mobile devices working only on the 2.4 Band, Small Connect should be disabled. Otherwise WiFi does not work correctly or is slowed down.

Would it be possible to share with us what are the devices that you have trouble with "smart connect"?

I got an issue with Smart Connect as well

 

My bedroom is at the edge of 5GHz reach, it made my phone switching back and forth from 2.4 to 5 thus makes my connection unstable

Probably make a threshold of network reliability?

 

I'm turning Smart Connect off for the mean time

 

Edit: My device is AX50
