Model: Deco X60  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20210121 Rel. 54042

For some clients the 802.11k roaming measurement does not seem to be working. From the logs, appearing every second (!):

 

estimatorPerformMeasurement: Failed to initiate 11k measuremrent for XX:XX:XX:XX:XX on channel 12 from serving BSS APId 255 ChanId 12 ESSId 0

 

After roaming to 5G (ChanId > 35), these messages do not longer occur.

 

Identified clients:

- apple iphone 13 with IOS 15

- laptop with windows 10 and Intel AX201 (latest) firmware 22.100.1.1

Both clients should support 802.11k.

 

Anything to worry about or is this expected logging behavior?

Hi, I am not sure what might be the problem and would like to forward your case to the senior engineers for further help.

Please try to reply to the email with a copy of the whole system log.

By the way, would there be any issue when these logs kept showing up?

@TP-Link after rebooting the deco's and clients, this problem does not seem to occur anymore. Consider this as closed for now.

As soon as this situation happens again I will save the logs and contact you again. Thank you.
