Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.11.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.56677n

Hi I'm now running the beta version "1.11.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200325 Rel.56677n" on my v4 TL-MR6400, I'm looking to select my provider by hand.

I've got a Dutch simcard for provider KPN, when I am in France in my phone I can disable automatic network selection and choose any of the providers (as I'm roaming I'm allowed to use allmost all of the available providers: Bouygues, SFR, Free, Orange).

All my devices stick to F SFR by default, however Free seems to be WAY faster.
So my phone is now manually locked to Free as provider. I would like to do the same for my modem.

Is there any beta firmware available that will allow such a thing (Huawei B525 has this stuff by default!)

@xychix

Hi, on the web UI>Advanced>Network>Internet>Profile name, maybe you could try to manually change to Free APN profile.

How to log into the web-based management interface of TP-Link Wireless 4G LTE Router?

@TP-Link

That is something else.

I have a KPN Sim and will only be able to use a KPN APN (Europe providers route my traffic to the Netherlands over the roaming networks).

I point my antenna's to a mast nearby and can choose the SFR / Bouygues / Free / Orange networks (called 'Network Selection' on a Iphone), however i still HAVE to use my kpn apn as I'm a roaming customer.
I've already gotten a Huawei B525 that has this feature for now but I'd love my tplink back in place.

The concept of roaming is that you still use your 'home networks apn' and don't change this when you go to other countries. The networks of other countries will route the traffic to your home country. Meaning that if i roam on a KPN sim in france and use Bouygues I'll still get a KPN internet IP. The speed in this case is limited by the Bouygues network/antenna/uplink whatever.
Same goes for Free, i still use my KPN APN, get a KPN (Dutch) internet IP and Free sends my traffic onto my own provider.

Most devices have the option to select the network you want to use for roaming (all phones i know and most modems), this is valuable because it allowes you to test and choose the fastest network provider once you're on a fixed spot (holidays home).

I will post screenshot of Huawei B525 and iphone shortly with the details of the settings I'm referring to.
