I have an issue with my RE650 extender over wired and wireless connection. I brought it to extend my 1GB broadband.

My current setup is set to range extender as follows: Router <(wireless)> Extender <wired> PS5.

Over wired connection, speed via extender used to be around 500Mbps. 200Mbps over wireless. If I start downloading anything on my PS5, in about 2 minutes (I timed it every time), speed drops significantly to around 20Mbps for both - wired and wireless.

Resetting and/or disconnecting from the network and then connecting again always restores the speed to usual 500Mbps until any heavier activity is initiated. Then slowdown happens again. Rinse repeat. 

I tested my wired speeds straight from my router on my PC and they are around 1GB up and down, while at the same time PS5 returns two digit speeds.

I have restarted the extender and PS5 multiple times, set-up the network via Quick Setup again, factory reset the extender, checked the cable on another device without the extender - nothing helps. It is like the extender crumbles over heavy downloading.

I plan on returning it ASAP as it was quite a lot of money for no network improvement at all. Any ideas?
