Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20201116 Rel. 57022(5553)

Hello,

I just got my new router and I wanted to update but it it always fails. Ethier I try to do it via Phone app, or computer browser, it is stuck at 0% and nothing is happening. After a while window disapaper but no upgrage happen.

When I try to open TP-Link ID, on the router page, I get this issue --> "Oops... We can't reach the cloud server."

Router of course have internet access, all of my devices are working fine.

I also tried to update it via cable, so I disconnected router from the internet, connected my PC to the router via cable, open router update page, selected file from my computer to upgrade (Archer AX10(US)_V1.2_210513, Yes, I have US version of the router, shows on the box), but aftrer I click on upgrade and there is a 0% showing of progress, after a 10 sec, that window dissapper. No upgrade happnes. I tried several times but same issue.

Please advise!

@MartinB123

I solved the issue.

Problem was with lack of DNS setting of the router. It was set for automatic.

After setting it for google DNS, everything works fine.

Try using another browser (Mozilla, Chrome).

The cloud server may have had a temporary connectivity issue.

Upgradeing the router FW via TP-Link cloud:

You can try upgrading FW manually following this procedure - Case 1.

@terziyski

Thank you for your answer.

I just tried Edge and Brave - but exactly same issue. (Originally I used Chrome and Android app)

I already tried to upgrade it manually, via cable, but that was also unsucessfull.

@MartinB123

You can hard reset the router and try again.

If that persists contact your local support to be advised further.
