Privacy Warning IOS 14.8 (does Deco support DoH and DoT?)
Hi all,
first time asking for help for anything like this I'm not technical at all! So would really appreciate some advice.
When viewing my deco wifi connection on my iPhone XR on IOS 14.8, I see a privacy warning stating that my network is blocking encrypted DNS so traffic could be seen by others on the network (and I assume others potentially)
I've been doing some digging and is this due to Deco not supporting DoH or DoT? - I don't claim to totally understand the technical ins and out but get the principal that they provide a more secure appoch and should be pretty standard ?
is there something I can do to fix this in the app?

Hi, can I have a picture of the privacy warning on the iPhone XR?
Since IOS 15.0.2 is also released, would you mind trying to update this version and check whether the warning is still here?

@TP-Link both of the solutions mentioned by TP-Link don't work. (Forget Wifi- network, change DNS to 8.8.8.8). The security warning goes away for a while and then returns.
What are the next steps? Because it is a security issue when DNS traffic through deco is blocking encrypted traffic.
Our home network is prone to DNS -Spoofing or hijacking. this is not an acceptable situation.

@TP-Link As per below these solutions don't fix the issue, how can this be acceptable and not an isolated incident... why is there no fix???

@TP-Link Do you not have a solution for this, as both fixes don't work.. I still get the warning

@TP-Link Could you be so kind to share the details of the solution you sent via e-mail via this forum aswell? Thank you very much.

@JanRekenaar @TP-Link it wasn't a fix sadly, it was just an emailing advising it is an IOS issue and not Deco as it impacts other routers with links to Reddit pages covering the subject... then a link to a page covering the risk of a privacy leak.. all not very helpful to someone like me who doesn't have the technical know how to follow... . all I took from it is the Deco doesn't / can't support encrypted DNS and if it did the warning wouldn't exist
