I also don't think it will happen. It is promised since two years.
This is an answer from the @TP-Link support:
"The first reply on the forum from TP-Link is “I could not provide an answer to the ETA of the new firmware of Deco M9 plus and Deco MR.” This does not sound like a promise from our side."
And this is my topic about that: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/528536

Hi, I could not give you a date of the new firmware but I am sure it will happen this time.
we spend a lot of time pushing the engineers in the last year, and we are eager for this firmware as you do.

@TP-Link at least the "hidden" 1.5.6 ( not available on the Swedish tp-link page or Deco app) have seemed to be a lot more stable than 1.5.1.
maybe you should look into that - I can't be the only frustrated user stuck on 1.5.1 in Sweden
since upgrading- I have had no need for several daily reboot of the decos - fingers crossed that this keep being a trend - as I was very close to giving up on my M9's

@Vibaek78 I am running firmware 1.5.1 with my 3xM9+ (2.0) devices for a year, and I do not experience instability, I am running it for months without any reboots. My M9+ is running in router mode, my ISP (Altibox, Norway) fiber modem is bridged. Perhaps there are other reasons for instability. Although I want to upgrade to 1.6 when released, I first want to hear reports from other users that it is stable.

Just remember, that @TP-Link is "working" on 1.6.0 update for M9 Plus since two years!
So, maybe it is too complicated to make the product acutally "Mesh" as advertised and sold.
And it is possible to wait to more (or never to have a new update), if we don't remind them frequantly about that.

Hi, I do believe the firmware release process is more complicated than we imagine.
Only multiple tests could guarantee a solid firmware since 1.6.0 firmware has added so many great features.

@TP-Link See what other companies from your range makes for two years during COVID and after that say this hilarious comments.. It is not serious.
People are migrating whole infrastructures, you can't make a firmware that should make your advertisment less false.
this is the reason - you are selling devices which are not mesh and trying to make them mesh after that... But your team is too busy with the new prototypes which will flood the market.
It is hillarious to delay update 2 years, for 2 years companies are going to the space, making 4-5 new car models, event COVID vaccine was made.
You are saying that simple firmware update is hard and thats why you are "working on it" for two years.....
