Hi,
The router finds the 4G modem Huwei E392u-12 but could not connect. Sometimes it also drops the modem and it says "Unplugged"
I tried to update the firmeware but no success. :(
Thankful for more suggestions how to make it work. :)

Wrong Router should be TL-MR3420

Something went wrong here. The router should be TL-MR3420 not 3220. //Tgren

Hi,
This modem is not and probably will not be supported by TP-LINK, unless they do a major software re-write. That is my opinion by the way, and based on the limited 4Mb flash ram in these routers. TP-Link have many good features in their 3/4G routers, but have little space for the many new USB protocols, required by the later fasert modems.
However there is a very good solution for your TP-LINK router that many folk around the world and a lot of Swedes have been using, particularly 4G modems. It will allow your router/ modem achieve full modem connection speed ie up to 80Mbps or so (we think). ;)
These are some of our Beta testers. Search for e392.
Yes the flashing software is called a ROOTer and the releases are names after Spiders. :)
Have a read of our WIKI on how it all came about.
There are complete tutorials on how to flash etc and plenty of support in the Australian Whirlpool thread.
Any questions, please ask.
Cheers

Hi John!
How is it that the modem is on the compatibility list on the TP-Link website. If you search for TL-MR3420 and E392, E392 will for example be displayed on the list for Portugal.
Is the ISP is also essential for the function.?
