TL-WR741ND drops all connections (wired and wireless)
Region : Argentina
Model : TL-WR741ND
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version : 3.16.4 Build 130205 Rel.63090n
ISP : Fibertel
My TL-WR741ND is about 1 year and a half old, it was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. I need to reset it, times between resets is not consistent, meaning, it can take 30 minutes, or 8 hours, but it needs to be reset.
Right now, there are 2 wired connections (PS3 and Desktop PC) and 7 wireless (4 cell phones, 2 notebooks and 1 netbook). 1 of the notebooks has static IP, and it also has a VM running, with another static IP.
Also some port forwarding simply stopped working (ports 80 and 1180), the rest of the ports work flawlessly, but trying to forward the port 80 and 1180 (to the 2 static ips) won't work.
I already upgraded the firmware, and the problem persists, also changed the channel (from 6 to 1, and then from 1 to 11).
Installing dd-wrt/openwrt/gargoyle or anything like that, is not an option. The only reason why I bough t this router, was because I could use dd-wrt, I installed it 1 year and a half ago, and it simply sucked, the wireless bandwidth was non existent, and it was a headache. I installed it again last week, to see if it could be a solution, and I was not even able to save changes in the control panel.
I need a real solution, and installing a firmware that works only on chrome is not an option (specially when I use Firefox, and I needed to install chromium just to erase dd-wrt)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Marcelo
