Firstly can I say how impressed I am with this router, easy set up and incredible wireless connectivity throughout the house. Brilliant.
I wonder if you can help. I'm using parental controls to block all devices in the house from using tumblr. I cannot do this at a device by device level as it is being used on iphones/androids, laptops and desktops.
Unfortunately, the way that tumblr works is that it use many URLs for the different pages people set up so it is not just a case of blocking www.tumblr.com - so I'm struggling to work out if I can do this via URL blocking on the router settings.
For example, tumblr pages can have any prefix..
rudeheadache.tumblr.com/
fetish.tumblr.com
pevert.tumblr.com
So I need to block (anystring).tumblr.com or *.tumblr.com.
Does anyone know if the URL blocking allows wildcards for example * or %? I've tested a few with no luck and cannot find any info in documentation.
Or does anyone have any other idea on how to do this at router level. As I say it is not practical at the device level.
Tumblr is a big issue at school and full of porn/selfharming/suicide etc. Lots of creative content but they do not restrict porn or sensitive content. Some is very perverse.
I really want it restricted and out of this house.
