I simply want to stop internet access via a schedule. Within the allowed hours I am happy for unrestricted access (adult content is blocked at ISP level). Can this be done?Cheers.

Access control can fulfill it but you have to create proper rules. Are you trying to stop internet on a specific PC or all of them?
