Model: TL-WPA4220 KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I wonder if anybody could give us some advice on this:

We bought the extender in order to have a WIFI connection in a garden office which does not have electricity from the mains. We are planning to buy a portable power station, a big battery which supplies electricity when needed.

The description on our leaflet says that both devices, the Adapter and the Extender, need to be on the same electrical circuit. Would the extender work when it is plugged into a portable power station?

Any advice on this would be highly appreciated.

Hello@Elisabeth ,

Thank you for being interested in tp-link powerline devices, powerline units need to paired under the same powerline circuit /under the same power meter, and devices communicate with each other through house powerline.  A power station could provide power but could not build a powerline environment that the powerline KIT need.

If you need to build a wireless connection from main building to garden building, you may need some outdoor products, it is recommended to create new thread under business products sub-froum from here (better include the distance, the garden office building is indoor/open area , the number of clients)
