Hi,

I will be putting C6 AC1200 in Access Point mode. I have a few queries as I don’t have much knowledge of networking.

My ISP router will be a fiber+ont+modem+router (I have no choice here, I must use what they provide) that won’t support bridge mode, so I need to put C6 in AP. Now if ISP router is 192.168.0.1 what should be the IP address of c6 in AP?

If my ISP router assigns DHCP as 192.168.0.100 thru 192.168.0.150 should the DHCP in AP must be something different than this say 192.168.0.151 thru 192.168.0.200?

If I have a PC connected to ISP router, can I access the same from another laptop connected to AP say by typing its ip address in Windows explorer? (Assume there are no Windows firewall or such issues) Are the 2 on different network or same network? Can both have same IP address (again going back to above query)

Thanks and regards.

@ramki_87

Follow this guide for configuring C6 in AP mode - Case 1.

Going through that guide will bring the answers of your questions.

Even connected to different wireless SSIDs (ISP router or C6 AP) all devices will be in the same subnet.
