C6 1200 Disable WPS in AP Mode
Hi,
I have seen this https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/download/archer-c6/v2/#Emulators
I plan to put C6 1200 Router in AP mode. I believe now what we get is new version 3 or 3.2.
However I wish to keep the WPS disabled even in AP Mode
As per emulator for V2 the settings page (called System Parameters) that controls WPS On/Off is not available in AP mode.
In that case is it possible to disable WPS when this router is in AP Mode? If yes, how?
Note - I am yet to buy this router so I have no real setup to test at my end right now. I am going by documentations and emulators.
Thanks and regards.

Thanks for your reply. So does it mean that I first disable WPS in Router mode and then switch to AP mode later? Will WPS remain disabled even in AP mode?
That's what I want. Even if you disable PIN the Push Button method is still active.
There's a separate option in System Parameters screen where you actually disable WPS.
and it looks like that System Parameter screen itself is unavailable in AP mode.
May be this screenshot might help.

TBH, I haven't tried that, but you can try it. Yes, the System Parameters are not availble in AP mode. As you can see from the link I posted, several features are not available in AP mode.

I agree on that.
Here you can see similar request related to disabling WPS feature in AP mode.
The method I suggested (disabling WPS when in router mode and then switch to AP mode) obviously works - confirmed by the OP:
" I had to switch to Router mode, disable WPS and switch back to Access Point mode. "

Oh! Interesting. However the mentioned threads don't have any update.
If there's any official TP Link representation on this forum, I request them to comment on my query please.
I might be forced to use C6 as AP and I want to strictly keep WPS disabled.
I will explore the method suggested above i.e. disable WPS first in router mode and then switch to AP and confirm if it works or not,
I need to make subsequent buying decisions based on TP Link response.
Thanks.
