Archer VR 2800 Slow network > USB share transfer speed
Hi,
I am having issues with write speeds to a USB drive connected to my Archer VR2800.
When trying to copy a large file/files from my PC with an M.2 SSD to my USB share drive (seagate backup drive 8tb USB 3.0) via Ethernet I get a max speed of 16-25MBps which isn't awful but I need it to be faster. I have done some stuff to test:
Transfer large file from Laptop A Connected to Archer VR2800 via Ethernet to Seagate Drive connected to Archer VR2800 via USB 3.0 port - Gives a max speed of 25MBps
Transfer large file from Laptop A to Laptop B (Both Gbps capable & both using M.2 SSD drives) via Ethernet ports on router - gives me a speed of 100MBps
Transfer large file from Laptop A to Seagate drive via USB 3.0 port - gives me a speed of 125MBps (this is the maximum I would expect to see via an Ethernet LAN transfer)
Transfer Large file from Seagate Drive to USB 3.0 Pen drive both connected to the router via USB ports - gives a max speed of 25MBps
So from what I can tell, the issue is definitely with the router. Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue could be or whether I am being unrealistic in expecting higher transfer speeds with this hardware?
Many thanks,
Joe
