It's finally here. The AX11000 has a recent (8/2022) firmware upgrade that includes a VPN client. On this new screen, the user can select openvpn and import a configuration file. There are numerous free openvpn servers worldwide. One is not limited to the few commercial VPN providers. Go to httpswww dot vpngate dot net slash en
Searching for "free vpn" leads to listings of free providers. Of the few this writer sampled, all are reliable. Some shut down after several days, but most do not. There are also PPTP and L2TP providers. These are less protected than openvpn so many writers say.

Just in case someone is Googling like I was for a few hours trying to find a solution for my new AX10000. The beta version for the AX1100 works on the AX10000 also. Thought I was going to need to return this. One suggestion I have is that if a device has permission to log onto the network, why the extra step with an enable toggle for each device to get on the VPN? Kind of tedious to have to do this for each device in a house. That should be an option if you want that capability.

Thank you very much for your suggestion regarding the VPN Client configuration.
From my point of view, I think this enable/disable option is quite necessary. If there are 10 devices connected to the AX11000, and I would like only one of them to connect via VPN, then I will have the choice to enable the VPN connection for it.
