[TPLINK WR90N v3] doesn't have option for range extender and WDS setup isn't working
Hello,
I want my old router(TL-WR90N) to be a ranger extender but there is no option in the settings of router and I try to use it as repeater but its not connecting
the WDS status is init.. for hours but wont change, so can any help me out with this?
Main router- Archer C6 MU-MIMO
old router- TL-WR90N v3(on router)

It's not mandatory as along as WR940N LAN IP address is in the same subnet.
In general WR940N LAN IP address should be outside C6 DHCP range, but in the same subnet (192.168.0.254 is fine).
Not connecting in WDS2 mode means that you should use WDS1, if Auto doesn't work for you.
If it's too complex to swap the devices and test, I would suggest you to use WR940N as an AP - Case2., connecting it to C6 with an ethernet cable (if possible, depending on your infrastructure).
Thus you would have more stable and faster connection between routers and your wireless devices.
