@Omae1 Hello,

Putting modem on Bridge mode is not necessary when setting up the modem as an Access Point,

It is recommended to factory reset the modem, turn off the DHCP after settings up a static IP for modem, here is a guide:

@Omae1

Hi, this time, after turning off the DHCP server, you could log into the VR600 via static IP 172.12.1.200, right?

What is the IP settings on the smartphone when it is connected to the Wi-Fi of VR600

May I know the model number of your main router?

It's pointed in the guide, that you should have your VR600 in the same subnet as your main router ? What's the main router IP address ?

Also you've set the VR600:

It is recommended to use 24 bit subnet mask - 255.255.255.0.

@TP-Link yes I can go to the login page

The ip configuration is DHCP not static ip cause the vr600 connected by lan from another router

The other router is tplink 841 v5

I tried more than one router but the problem is the same

@terziyski it's not the same subnet because vr600 not allowing me to put 255.255.255.0 on this ip

The main router ip is 172.12.1.47

You have to re-arrange the WR841N LAN settings to be able to put both devices in the same subnet with private IP addresses.

For WR841N LAN settings use (for example) 192.168.1.1 / netmask 255.255.255.0, DHCP range 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.100.

For VR600 LAN settings use Static IP - 192.168.1.101 / netmask 255.255.255.0, DHCP off.

Connect both devices with cable - LAN port to LAN port - that's pretty much the guide that @TP-Link posted.

@terziyski

Thanks for explaining

But I'm not using 192.168.1.. Ip

I have serial ip from 172.12.1.2 to 172.12.1.200 - I mean that I have more than 2 routers and if I change the vr600 with any other router like tplink v14 or v6 or other company router works fine -

The problem I have that the tplink 841 v5 netmask is 255.255.255.0

But in vr600 i can't put this netmask

Do you say if I put the netmask in 841 v5 the same with vr600 will solve the issue?

@Omae1

If I understand correctly your main router is WR841N and you want to use the VR600 as an AP connected to WR841N.

If that's correct, then use the following as a reference to configure both devices.

For WR841N - your main router.

LAN IP address:

DHCP server:

For VR600 LAN settings:

Cable connection between those two devices should be WR841N LAN port to VR600 LAN port.

Note:

If VR600 in in Wireless Router Mode don't use LAN4/WAN port (use LAN1-3)

If VR600 is in DSL Modem Router Mode you can use any LAN port

Now, if I didn't understand your setup correctly:

If VR600 is in bridge mode and you use WR841N as a main router that's a normal configuration to avoid the double NAT in your network.

If you want VR600 to be the main router (but not in bridge mode) and want to use the WR841N as an AP then use the following guide - Case 2.
