Hello,

I had an Archer C2 and just got a Deco M9.

I want to keep the C2 for it's USB server capabilities. But instead of what others do, I want to have Deco as main router, wire the C2 to the Deco and use the C2 as an ethernet switch and USB storage server.

Is this a good idea or even possible? How should I configure the C7 for that?

@javi.124

You can try configuring the C2 in access point mode and disable its wi-fi radio, thus converting it into ethernet switch.

USB sharing should work in AP mode.

Depending on the C2 HW/FW version you can set it up in AP mode like this:

1. C2 doesn't have dedicated AP mode - use this scenario.

2, C2 has dedicated AP mode - use this scenario.
