I started facing issues with my Archer C6 router today.

- When i connect my laptop to direct wired connection (without router) internet on my laptop works fine

- When i connect Archer C6 to wired connection, only some of the devices seem to connect and work correctly

 

for E.g., my office laptop just connected fine while my android mobile does not connect. Similarly, my personal laptop could not connect but my fire tv stick works good. Once i updated TCP/IPv4 setting on my personal laptop to use fixed DNS, it seems to work correctly.

 

I have already tried resetting using the button on router, i also reinstalled firmware manually from the laptop that works with router and i restored to factory default settings from router login. The issue still continues to persist.

 

This router is purchased from Amazon India in Dec 2020 so its fairly new device. Can you help here at the earliest.

Is the internet LED on the C6 always green when the issue happens? Who is your ISP, and what is the WAN connection type on the C6? How about the WAN IP address?

 

Try to manually change the DNS on the C6 Internet page to something like 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, save and reboot the router, connect the devices to the network to confirm.

 

You can also try MAC clone on the C6, by cloning the laptop's MAC to the C6. Connect the laptop to the C6 LAN with an Ethernet cable, clone its wired MAC to the C6 as follows:
