Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 201203 Rel.59032n

Hi,

The whole SMS functionality is not working with Jio SIM.

It gives error Code 56 as the log is attached below.

 

It says:

"USER: Send sms result code, errorCode = 56."


Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 201203 Rel.59032n

Hardware Version: Archer MR600 v2 00000001

Can you explain more about the sms issue you are encountering? Do you mean you cannot receive or cannot view the messages? Can we have some screenshots about it?

 

You may try to hard reset the router to factory defaults by pressing and holding the reset button until the LEDs flash off then on, after that, verify whether you can see the message under SMS-Inbox and Basic- network map page.

I have tried resetting the router couple of times already, no luck!

I have also tried entering the message center number, no luck!

I have to eject SIM a couple of times a week just to get an OTP, no luck!

This issue exists on other tp-link routers too. You must have seen threads for them as well.
The issue only occurs with the JIO sim, other operators seem to work fine.

Seems not releated to one provider ....

Not yet, their engineers are saying they will contact Jio to resolve this issue.

So far there is no update for it.

@Kevin_Z This beta firmware is for MR600 V1 and this thread is all about V2. Does this firmware work with V2 as well?

Regarding the SMS issue you reported with Jio SIM, I'm afraid there is currently no beta firmware yet, you can check with the support engineers for the updates.
