Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.3

Switching service providers from cable to fiber. Box on the wall, fiber in, ethernet out. They ran that to a standard Zyxel wifi router they provided. I'd like to skip their router, instead of disabling it and running through it. I have the ID and password that the Zyxel uses to talk to my ISP. If I plug my main Deco directly into the fiber box's ethernet port, though, I just get yellow light no interent. It never asks for the authentification.

How do I get my Decos to go back to configuring? And is there a way to back up the current config?

@nottooloud

Hi,

Did the Deco M5 work on the wireless router mode?

Have you tried to go to Deco APP>More>advanced>IPV4 and change the connection type to PPPoE?

Or, you could reset the Deco by holding the reset button for 1s, then set it up from he beginning;

Thank you.
