DecoM4 CPU load 100%
DecoM4 CPU load 100%
My Deco M4 system consistently spikes CPU usage to 100% even with very little bandwidth load. Every time this happens (10-15 times per minute) I temporarily lose wifi connectivity across my network.
I have tried refreshing the web ui, disable all but the 2.4gHz wifi radio, resetting both Deco units, even removing all but 1 device from the wifi network. Nothing has stopped the constant heavy CPU usage.
Please, any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi,
When you refresh the web UI, would the CPU occupation dropped, or it had no change at all?
Could you please save the system log and send it to me as well?
Would turning off the fast roaming and beamforming on the Deco APP help or not?
At the same time, I would forward your case to the senior engineers, and please have a check of your email box.
Thank you very much.

i recognised the same. every time that i have a look it says 100%. maybe that's the reason for the annoying dropouts even on the wired connection.

I would think so. I'm hoping for a solution. I've tried all the solutions found in the forum and nothing has helped.
It seems to be a fairly common issue with the M4s.
My inconsistent connection is definitely a router issue. When I activate the ISP router built into the modem, I have no wifi issues. Only when using the M4s, and only when they peak to 100% CPU usage (which happens 20-25 times per minute)

Hi, after checking with the engineers, the CPU overload is more like a symptom when the internet connection dropped out, instead of the final cause;
In order to locate the deep issue, could you please help me run the following test:
1.When you refresh the web UI, would the CPU occupation dropped to 0%, then come back to 50-60% in a short time, or it had no change at all?
2.Please provide the network topology of your Deco system;
3.May I know what are the devices connected to the Deco system now and could you please provide me their model number if possible?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Thank you for your reply.
1. After refreshing the web UI the CPU reads 0% for a VERY brief time, then within 1 second or so increases to 100%. Then comes down to 60-65% for 1 second, then goes back up to 100%.
2. My network is setup like so;
ISP modem -> Main Deco M4 + 2nd Deco M4 -> Windows 10 PC (hardwired), Windows 10 Laptop, 4 Android devices (3x Samsung, 1x Huawei), 1x Apple iPad, 2x Nintendo Switches, 1x XBox One, 3x GoogleTV, 3x Nest Home Mini, 2x TP-Link Smart Light Bulbs, 4x Kasa Smart Light Switches.
I have tried switching between Router Mode and Access Point Mode with no change. (It is currently in Router Mode).

Hi, thanks for your feedback.
Did you experience any issues when using the Deco network, like unstable connection when CPU is overloaded?
How about other details when the CPE reached 100%:
1.When you refresh the web UI, would the CPU occupation dropped to 0%, then come back to 50-60% in a short time, or it had no change at all?
2. Could you please provide the network topology of your Deco system;
3.May I know what are the devices connected to the Deco system now and could you please provide me their model number if possible?
Thank you.

After refreshing the web UI the CPU reads 0% for a VERY brief time, then within 2 second or so increases to 100%. Then comes down to 5-10% for 2 second, then goes back up to 100%.
My network is setup like so;
Main Deco M4 + Deco M4(hardwired) -> 2x Windows 10 Laptop (wifi), 2 Android devices (Amazon Fire Stick TV), 1x TV TLC, 3x Android telephone (Xiaomi), 1x Roborock S5max

I'm here having the same exact issue with my deco M4R's v2 ___ 1.4.3 Build 20200918 Rel. 74289
I set one of them as a router and connected a switch to it to feed my other 4 deco's via ethernet cables and i'm getting 100% CPU use almost all of the time on the main deco (router) and even the other units, I also tried to set them as access point's only with the main router tp link ac1900 v3 but i'm still getting CPU spikes to 100% on all the deco units.
I think this is a hardware limitation because sometimes I can't even open the webUI its not loading or if change something in the settings it tells me that the (operation failed).
