tl-mr6500v analog phone error
I use tl-mr6500v router with a Ho mobile SIM card.
Internet connection and SMS work, but I cannot receive and transimit calls by an analog phone plugged ti RJ11 plug.
In system logs I read:
ERROR: Get sim card number failed (0).

How can I solve?
Thank you

Is the model also TL-MR6500v? What is the current firmware on the router? Please show us the detailed firmware version, as well as the error logs about the SMS issue, thank you.

@Leoz this is a known bug in the router software
But you can temporarily DEACTIVATE VoLTE for sending SMS messages in 4G mode - see https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/252302?replyId=567426

@GioGi io ho fatto diversi test sia in "4g preferred" che in "4g only", ho reimpostato il numero SMSC correttamente come indicato da Very, ma solo togliendo la spunta al VoLTE riesco a inviare

@Kevin_Z There is no error log about the SMS issue - sending of SMS in 4G mode with VoLTE option switched on simply doesn't work with the current firmware (there is only one fimware released for Europe).
Otherwise, the log is full of useless error messages as those mentioned at the beginning of this thread - but nothing about SMS within that log.

I found you reported this issue months ago, can I confirm some more details, which will help the engineers to speed up the analysis? Do you mean you can send and receive SMS properly when switching the MR6500v to 3G only mode, and you can leave VoLTE on? If you choose 4G or 4G Only on the MR6500v, then you need to switch VoLTE off?
Is your SIM card carrier also Very Mobile (IT)?

@Kevin_Z I am now talking about 4G only mode - that is the only mode I am interested in, because 3G is soon switched off in my region (Germany, Carrier is o2 / Telefonica).
In that 4G only mode, VoLTE must be switched off in order to SEND SMS-messages - with VoLTE switched on, it is impossible to send SMS messages.
For receiving SMS messages in 4G only mode, the VoLTE status has no importance - RECEIVING SMS messages works fine with any status (on or off) of the VoLTE switch.

@Kevin_Z with VoLTE enabled, i've try to switch from "4g preferred" to "3g only" via tether app, and sms was successfully sent.
If i set again 4g sms sent don't start.
