TP-Link Archer TX3000E Random Connection Drops
I recently upgraded my router to the TP-Link AX1500 and installed the TX3000E Wifi 6 adapter in my gaming pc. I'm running Windows 10. Everything worked fine out of the box and I get good speeds. The problem is almost every day randomly my internet connection will just drop on my gaming pc with the TX3000E adapter. At first I thought it was my router but when it happened again I tested my other devices and the internet was working fine. So I know the problem is specifically with my computer. My old tp-link wifi ac adapter was working fine before I installed this one. When the connection drops on my PC sometimes it will just lose it's connection completely and other times it will load extremely slow or only partially load pages. The only thing that fixes it when this happens is I run the windows troubleshoot on my wifi adapter and it will run for a minute or two then say "reset wifi adapter" then it works fine after that. Sometimes it will say "you're computer is configured correctly but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding" but it usually says that the first couple times I run the troubleshooter (I usually run it immediately when the connection drops) then when I try it again it will say "reset wifi adapter" and it works fine after that. I tried reinstalling the Intel AX200 Wifi 6 driver from both the tp-link website and the intel website and had the same issues. I looked at the Amazon reviews for the TX3000E adapter and other people are having the exact same problems as me. Has anyone else had this issue or is this a known issue with this wifi adapter? Is it a hardware problem or a driver/software problem? Someone on the Amazon reviews mentioned it was a driver problem and needs to be fixed in a future update. Although the AX200 driver looks like it hasn't received any updates in almost a year. My return period for this wifi adapter is January 31st, 2021 so about a month from now. So I either want to try and fix it by then or return it and get something different. Has anyone had success with other Wifi 6 PCI-E adapters? If I return this one which one should I buy instead? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any advice would be appreciated.
