I just got his modem two days ago. Yesterday did not used a lot so I do not know. But today it is dropping connections very often - both wired and wireless. Sometimes when it is dropped i see the light turns orange for 5-10 seconds and then turn white.
With old Archer 9 I have not had any problem in this regard whotsoerver.

Hello, sorry to respond late.
Is the model number of the AC5400 Archer C5400 or C5400X?
Please ensure you are running the latest firmware on the local official website first and confirm again.
If the WAN connection is still not stable, please verify what is the region version of your C5400, is it a US version or an EU version? How about its hardware version, v1?

Model is C5400X (US)
Running latest firmware - 1.1.2 Build 20191223 rel.73956(5553) hardware version - ArcherC5400X v1.0.
Last two days connections seems to be stabile - no dropouts. I got authorization code for replacement but I don't know what to do now because it seems it works OK for now. I would like to keep this one since I do not want to go through setting up and assigning IP on many of my LAN devices again. Is it possible that router "fixes itself" LOL. Pleae advise.
Also is there a limit for attaching HDs on USB ports (in terms of size)? I know some of older model of Archer had that. How about adding extra drives through USB hubs?
Thanks for responding.

Hello, glad to know that the disconnect issue is resolved, while you can monitor.
As for the USB hard drive capacity, there should be no limitation for it theoretically, and it is suggested to format it to FAT32, or NTFS.
