greetings, I would like to ask about few technical issues of ARCHER router AXE75 (as my local Czech tplink support failed to answer)

  1. are channels 12, 13 and 14(only in Japan) available to be set up for 2,4 GHz WiFi ?
  2. is it possible to switch off 5GHz and 6GHz networks via app/web interface, e.g. just run on 2,4GHz WiFi ?
  3. when bridging two of these Archer routers do I need to link them with cable that has A termination on one side and B termination on the other side? or just regular B/B would do?
  4. after bridging these two Archer routers will I have WiFi (on one band) with same SSID? is this supported with working handoff? (atm I have Archer C6 with RE200 and handoff does not work at all so I am forced to use 3rd-party app for that)
  5. does this Archer router support Fast Roaming or ABT? or how it is called because both of them are not listed under specifications at https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-axe75/v1/#specifications

You can take a peek of AXE75 web management interface in the emulator here.

It doesn't support mesh with ethernet backhaul if that's your question 4.

AXE75 supports only Onemesh (Q3) for now which includes 802.11k/v standards only.

1. No.

2. Yes.

3. I believe that Auto MDI-X is supported - you can test that yourself.

4. Yes, in AP mode. You can name SSISs the same or different - roaming between APs will depend on your client device.

5. No. Only Deco supports 802.11r (fast roaming) standard - details (Q3).

  1. no for channel 14 or no for all of them (12,13,14) ?
  2. ty for confirmation
  3. will do for sure, but atm these are all pre-order questions so no way to test it
  4. unsure if AP mode is the right answer. the plan is to connect both routers via ethernet cable eg. physically. and the expectation is to have one same network SSID on both routers to avoid handoff of devices moving between those routers
  5. this question is valid only if the answer for Q4 is no... anyway, based to my understanding the Fast Roaming is just "better handoff" technology so Archer AXE75 is equipped with only the basic handoff protocol, right?
