Speed problem?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought an Archer A8 router. At home, we have a 200Mbps plan with Globe. With the globe router, we can reach 200mbps for LAN and 5ghz connection, but for 2.4ghz, it only reaches around 30-60mbps. I spoke with a Globe tech asking if the Globe modem/router has a limit for 2.4ghz and he said that it can only support upto 100mbps, so I asked that if I were to buy a router that supports higher bandwidth, will it reach the max speed or atleast near it and he said yes that will work with the Globe modem. So I purchased Archer A8 with max 2.4ghz of 600mbps and 1300mbps for 5ghz, hoping that it can reach more than 100mbps for 2.4ghz (if you're wondering or would suggest that I just use the 5ghz, the answer is that most of the devices at home don't have 5ghz).. Installed it few days ago, 5ghz and Lan port works properly with more than or near 200mbps, but the 2.4ghz is still below 100mbps. Is there anything I should configure on the A8 router? What should I do to get more than 100mbps for the 2.ghz connection.
Thanks in advance
