Hello, which firmware were you trying to upgrade to? Please check what is the current hardware version and region version which can be found on it bottom label, then refer to that version and see if you can find a newer firmware on the official website:

@Kevin_Z I am also having this issue.
I got the file from the correct region, Australia, but the file is giving the same error as the original poster. ERROR 4503, file not accepted.
The file form the web site however is EU, could this be the issue?
I would really like the fix as I need to allocate static IP address to one of my machines that the kids connect to and it is annoying that the IP changes on every reboot.
I see many comments regarding this, but struggling to find the actual solution.
P.S.
The file is unzipped and I am trying to upload the file "Archer_VR400V2_0.4.0_0.9.1_up_boot(201104)_2020-12-01_17.09.03.bin"
My Router is an Archer VR400 V2.
File is from https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/download/archer-vr400/v2/#Firmware
Cheers

Hi, what is your current firmware version?
And can I have a picture of the error message?
Thank you.
