RE450 does not pass DHCP request
hello,
i have the following issue...
first explain my set up...
- Core router - linked to TP link switch SG3210 - connected to 2 x TL108E
- synology server acting as DHCP server
i have 1 access point ( Cisco router in bridge mode ) on 1st floor (connected to 1st TL108E )
i have the RE450 on second floor (connected to 2nd TL108E )
i set the RE450 device up as followed
- access point mode ( cable to wifi )
- fix ip
- dhcp off
- wifi signal is set up the same as AP on 1st floor ( SSID / Channel / passw / encryption )
for some reason when connected to the RE450 i don't get an IP address.
so looks like it doesn't communicate with my DHCP server
and secondly on the status page the connexion status is " unknown "
when i "enable" DHCP on RE450 or set to "AUTO" it works...
but i don't want 2 dhcp devices in network for obvious reasons.
- troubleshooting already done...
--> reset to default
--> update firmware
--> i could test with dhcp on NAS disabled and on Core router ( DG ) enabled, but that is not a solution for me.
if someone could assist / come up with a solution that would be great :-)
Thanks in advance.
