WPA-Security on Extender
Hallo friends,
all my MAC-devices are complaining since this month the WPA2 standard - it is not safe enough ! They want to have WPA3 or minimum WPA2(AES).
My router delivers WPA2 (AES), which is fine.
But the repeater RE650 delivers obviously only WPA2-PSK (according to the brochure), which is obviously not safe. Such means my signal from the router is o.k., but as soon as I come into the repeater WLAN-network my MAC-devices are starting to complain the too low safety standard.
What can I do ?
Some updates available ?

Hello, the beta firmware for RE650 V1:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/228346?replyId=518998
and if you have an android smartphone, it could also try to update the firmware via smartphone.
(PS: there is no need to open the bin file and we just need to upload the bin file to the RE650.
And detailed instruction to update the firmware: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1406/ )
As for the RE650 V2, WPA2 (AES) will be used.
Thank you very much!

@Solla-topee thanks for forwarding me the firmware up-date for the RE650 V1. I downloaded the software but my Mach-PC does'nt support the bin format. So I can´t handle the software. Also I conected my repeater, after reset, via enthernet cable to my PC and can't get access to the RE650, either via IP-address nor via tp-link. Obviously Apple is protecting the equipment to strong, isn't it ?
In case I'll by a new RE650 V2, can I be sure that WPA2 (AES) will be used ? In all descriptions of this model is mentioned that WPA2PSK will be used. Such would'nt help me.
