Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 200710

Hi,

I have seen an updated firmware version 200710 today and tried out, but I cannot dial PPPoE with PlusNet anymore, even the DSL LED Light remains red for more than 10 mins.

Tried reboot, resetting, factory resetting, all doesb't work. Also tried to use OpenReach modem and the lights on modem were OK, but still cannot connect.

So, at the end, have to revert back to 200227 version and everything is working again.

Could you review it see if any settings have to be different please?

Thanks.

@Dreamcast

Good Day,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

For your case, we might need your help to check the following information:

  1. When you mentioned that ‘DSL LED Light remains red for more than 10 mints’,  did you talk about the internet led, or the one below it,  like:
  2. Can I have a picture of the status page on the VR2800?
  3. Except for the PPPoE connection, do you also need the VLAN ID?
  4. Have you tried the internal ISP list Plusnet_MER?
  5. If possible, can I have a copy of the system log when it failed to dial on the new firmware?

Thank you~

Hi,

thank you for your reply. Please see below as requested:

1. The red light I mean is the one you highlighted (sorry don't have a picture as I'm on v200227 now);

2. Please see below for screenshots:

3. Yes I need VLAN id but either from previous settings or if I select the Plusnet_VDSL it is automatically set to 101

4. I can't see the Plusnet_MER as an ISP in the list...

5. Please see the attached Log file.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thank you.

@Sunshine

Thank you

Just wondering if there is any update please?

The reason I asked is that, the 5G WiFi on v200227 is not as stable as 2.4G - it occasionnaly disconnect while 2.4G is still there, and in these cases, I can still see 5G's SSID but when try to connect it just say wrong password, and this happens to all of my devices. Also have to either reboot or disable 5G and enable again to make it work.

Hopefully this issue is improved in the v200710 but since PPPoE issue I am unable to use it.

Cheers.
