Wake on LAN over Internet

Region : Germany

Model : TD-W8961NB

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 1.0.0 Build 110707 Rel.32779

ISP : Telekom Germany

Hello,

I've just ordered the TD-W8961NB to replace my set of Modem & Router by one device.

Actual I have TL-WR940N, where I managed the Wake on Lan over internet by a port forward on port 9 to the local IP and setting up an IP&MAC Binding for this machine in the ARP table. By reading the user guide of TD-W8961NB, I'm missing the ARP Settings.
Is there any chance to setup the WOL over Internet on this ADSL Router?

kind regards
hubi

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
I use this tool. With TL-WR940N it works fine, but only if I've add the specific MAC-IP Binding to the ARP List.
Now I don't know how to get it running on TD-W8961.

Look also for http://wakeonlan.me tool, it can additionally schedule wake up if necessary.
Here is the steps to configure TP-Link - http://wakeonlan.me/kb/net/tplink_wol.php

Thanks you for your link. But the tool is not my problem.
Issue is, how to get the magic packet addressed in the local network...

you need to do a virtual server on the modem or the router , then the magic packet can pass through the NAT and reach the client which located in LAN

Hello, virtual server is already configured. Problem is that after shutting down the machine the arp intray is lost. I need a solution to create a static arp to permanent bind the lokal IP to the mac adress of the PC I want to wake up.
Is there any reference for the command line interface of TD-W8961 available. Maybe there is the possibility to set a static arp via telnet.

Yes you can,
I've tried the following programs:

1- windows software "WOL Magic Packet Sender" http://magicpacket.free.fr/,
2- Android app "WoL Wake On Lan Wan" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benfinnigan.wol,
3- Web site wakeonlan.me
