Model: Archer A5
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

Recently installed an A5 as an upgrade to my older Access Point. Archer is delivering significantly higher wifi speeds (as expected) but we are now experiencing some glithcing/ latency in the wirelessly connected XBox 1 using XBox Live.... Have exhauseted all the Microsoft trouble shooting (UPnP, Port forwarding, DMZ etc) with no result. The only thing that is different is the A5.

Are there any additional configuration option in AccessPoint mode that might be driving this? Could it be a firmware issue?

@JW3104

Hello,

May I have your detailed network diagram/layout? Is this Archer A5 working as an Access Point? What if you connect your Xbox 1 to your main wireless network directly, is there any glitching/ latency when using Xbox Live?

Is the wireless network name of the A5 the same as that of your main router? You may change it to a different one and monitor again.

BTW, what is the model number of your old Access Point, was the Xbox Live working fine with it?

Thanks.
