IMAP port 993 blocked after installing Deco X60
I just installed the new X60 (3 pack) and put it in router mode. It's connected via ethernet to our old TPG supplied HUAWEI modem router HG659. I have deactivated the WLAN/wifi on the HG659 so there is only the wifi network generated by the X60. Everything seems to be working ok, all our devices are operating fine, but my laptop (Apple MacBook Pro) is now not able to establish SSL IMAP connections (for 3 providers: icloud, gmail, and gmx). I figured out that the IMAP port 993 is closed or blocked.
I managed to resolve this by switching the X60 from "Router" mode to "Access Point" mode in the Deco app's Advanced settings under Operating Mode. Now the IMAP port 993 seems to be open again, but I lost the additional Deco functionality. I'm not sure what NAT does or if I need it. I don't need the Parental Controls, but I thought the HomeCare intrusion / antivirus detection could be handy, and that's not available anymore in Access Point mode.
Any advice how I could unblock / open port 993 for IMAP connections while keeping the Deco X60 in router mode? Thanks.

I'm having this exact issue on the M9 Plus. Any suggestions? Will the firmware update be made available to other Deco models please?

Hi, thanks for your patience.
Currently, we only have the beta firmware for X60,X20.
For the M9 plus, could you please help me check the following details so that we could request a beta firmware as well:
- How did you notice that the IMAP port 993 was blocked by M9 plus?
- What is the working mode of the M9 plus, wireless router or access point?
- Could you please draw a detailed picture about your network structures?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Hi, the latest firmware version for Deco X20 and Deco X60 has fixed this issue already.
If anyone has the same issue, please make sure your firmware is up to date.
Did you still have the same issue on Deco X60-V2-1.5.1?
We tested on our side the port 587 is ok on firmware 1.5.1.
May I know how did you find port 587 has been blocked? Which email service that you failed to use?
It will be highly appreciated that you could provide more details about how you find out Deco X60 is the problem?

@TP-Link I have got a comparable issue with my Deco S4: When connected via the Deco system, I intermittently cannot acces my email via POP3 on port 995 of the mailserver.
I have got three Deco S4's in Access Point Mode. The main Deco is connected to my cable modem. From there a UTP cable goes to a TP-Link gigabit switch, to which the other 2 Deco's are connected using UTP.
When the problems occur, I cannot access my mailserver via POP3, a port scan on port 995 gives no answer, but a portscan on port 80 does give a result, so it seems that it's a specific port (995), or maybe a range of ports that's blocked.
The Deco's all run the latest firmware (1.5.0 Build 20210607 Rel. 56436)
Please help....

Hi, Thank you for the feedback.
I noticed you mentioned Deco S4 worked under access point mode, in this way, I don’t think the issue is on Deco since the access point has no NAT or firewall settings, it does not block any ports.
Have you checked on any settings of your main router?

@TP-Link Thanks for your reply. I use the Deco's in access point mode, so that should rule out the Deco's from being the culprit. As a test, I connected my PC directly to the cable modem and indeed: the problem still exists, even though I bypassed the Deco's.
I checked the settings of the router. I even received a new router from the cable company as mine was relatively old. Unfortunately the problem still exists.
I'll follow it up with the supplier of the router. Thanks again :-)
