IMAP port 993 blocked after installing Deco X60
I just installed the new X60 (3 pack) and put it in router mode. It's connected via ethernet to our old TPG supplied HUAWEI modem router HG659. I have deactivated the WLAN/wifi on the HG659 so there is only the wifi network generated by the X60. Everything seems to be working ok, all our devices are operating fine, but my laptop (Apple MacBook Pro) is now not able to establish SSL IMAP connections (for 3 providers: icloud, gmail, and gmx). I figured out that the IMAP port 993 is closed or blocked.
I managed to resolve this by switching the X60 from "Router" mode to "Access Point" mode in the Deco app's Advanced settings under Operating Mode. Now the IMAP port 993 seems to be open again, but I lost the additional Deco functionality. I'm not sure what NAT does or if I need it. I don't need the Parental Controls, but I thought the HomeCare intrusion / antivirus detection could be handy, and that's not available anymore in Access Point mode.
Any advice how I could unblock / open port 993 for IMAP connections while keeping the Deco X60 in router mode? Thanks.

@TP-Link_Deco I'm sorry to report it didn't solve the issue for me. I have 3 IMAP accounts (Google, iCloud and a local provider) and 1 POP3 account. All IMAP accounts go to "not connected" after a while, while the POP3 account keeps on working. Then all of a sudden -this can take minutes or hours, you'll never know- they start connecting again. This can be one or two, or all at the same time.
So far I haven't been able to find out neither what causes the disconnection nor what causes the reconnection, though it seems like the disconnection appears more after the Mac comes out of sleep. I checked all three X60's and they all report the beta firmware version running (1.2.5 Build 20200828 Rel. 56085).

It looks like you loaded the first attempted fix FW. I tested that FW first and had the same issues you reported.
I'm running 1.2.5 Build 20200904 Rel. 46875 (the second attempt at a fix) and that version addresses the issue (at least for me). I've been running it for nearly a week and IMAP connections are working.
That said, I have noticed a bit of strange behavior. The IMAP connections never fail with the latest beta FW, but it "feels" like they're blocked or slowed every now and then. I do not get that "feeling" at all when I'm wired (bypassing the Decos) vs. wireless. It could just be WiFi channel congestion (which appears to be predetermined and unchangable at the moment for all Deco models). There's a whole separate thread about the need for either auto channel scan to find the least congested channel, or at least the need to manually select the channel.

@MajorBulldog I used the firmware from the link in post #45. Is there a newer one? I only see one for the X20 in a later post.
EDIT: I think I see what goes wrong: the link in post #45 says the new (September) version, but is still linking to the old (August) version (hoover your mouse over the link and you will see) - I copied the linktekst into the browser to download the new version (not my prefered way of obtaining a Beta firmware ;-)). Will install that one tomorrow.

Yes, that's the issue. The link points to the first attempt. The link for the second attempt was sent to me via email and I have since deleted that email. I do still have the FW binary as well as the instriuctions PDF (which didn't change from the first attempt). It's a little over 23MB which is above the 10MB limit for posting here. Send me your email via PM and I'll email you the binary.
Can we get the link to the updated FW fixed so that others get the correct version?

Here's a link to the latest (and working FW):
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202009/20200904/Deco_X60_V1_1.2.5_Mac_IMAP.zip
I found the deleted message.

@TP-Link_Deco The link for the X60 firmware in post #45 still links to the old (wrong) firmware. Please check. The text says the right version, but when you click it will still download the old version.

@sunday9pm BTW installed 1.2.5 Build 20200904 Rel. 46875. Install went smooth, no issues. All X60 units report this build now running.
