Deco M9 select source signal
I've just purchased two more M9's to go with the two i currently have and the one in my office is choosing to connect to the main device which is further awy than one in the middle it subsequently tells me i have a poor wifi connection.
I thought the whole point was it optimsed hte system and could tell me where to locate i don't see this happening at all.

I also have the same problem with 3 m9, not being able to select the source is unacceptable for a product of this range. I would like to participate inn the suggested beta program. Thank you!

@TP-Link my m9 3 set is already on 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel. 62679
When does TP-Link comes out with new firmware to select signal source manually.
When ever my 3rd router is connected to 2nd one I get good speed and I'm able to watch 4k movies. But then the 3rd where I face the speed issues keeps switching back to the 1st one which is far away and the speed drops to 10 mbps from 90 mbps which I get when the 3rd gets connected to 2nd.
Please release the manual selection firmware soon.

Hello, as far as I know, there will be a new official firmware soon, which will allow you to choose the signal source of the Deco units, please kindly wait for it.

Hi @TP-Link, I understant you are an official TP-Link account.
Can't you provide a more specific firmaware issue date to solve this problem? There are messages about it starting in middle 2020!!!
I think we are a lot who have been waiting long enought for an answer to this problem.
thanks

I also have the same issue. I need to be able to manually select signal source access point. Automatic selection is terrible.

Please have this feature ASAP. I have 2 X90 and 2 M9 Plus in my setup. It is useless if all decos are only connected to the main unit.

The firmware has been sent already.
@k3t0z3 Hi, we only have the firmware for Deco M9, for your Mesh network(Deco X90*2+Deco M9 plus *2), could you please help me check the following information:
1. a picture of the floor map about the location and distance of the mesh system.
2. a picture of the network map on the web UI.
3. would there be any issue caused by the inappropriate signal source?
Thank you very much.

Floor map as below with approximate distance. All deco's are connected to X90 1. Deco in grey color means they are on different floor.
My original intention was as below. I want M9 2 (located at staircase area, slightly above ceiling level of Ground Floor) to be linked to X90 1, and X90 2 to link to M9 2 in order to boost coverage in First Floor. But this was not successful as X90 2 always connected to X90 1 where the signal was very weak. The same also happen when I tried to swap X90 2 with M9 2.
Current network map as below.
I do not have anything unusual that could interfere with the signal except for normal household appliances.
Originally I have only 2 M9 plus, but the signal in First Floor was not very strong. So I added 2 X90 hoping to improve the situation. Unfortunately there's not much improvement and a total waste of money.
Rgrds.
