Under Consideration Onemesh between two routers
Hi! Is it possible to make an OneMesh network between two OneMesh compatible routers, or this function works only whit a router and a range extender? Thanks!

Of course, TP-Link does this on purpose just to buy and change their devices over and over again!
Because if that function can work on Asus routers, then I don't see any problems, why TP-Link can't enable it on its devices (routers)?
I think that the technical problem that Onemesh works between two routers can be solved very quickly and make it all work perfectly, but the problem is that they will not do it because then how will they sell us new DECO devices again and again ...

Is there any software for routers that can be installed and configure to work as a mesh? I have 2 routers and I am thinking to buy AX20 or extender... but I need LAN ports!!! And i need gigabit ports! I have to pay over 100$ for 1 extender and 1 lan ports, as AX20 is around 70$... and I can not have mesh option :(

Watch this! I intentionally bought three pieces of Archer C80 thinking that all three pieces will work nicely for me in access point mode in the house, and that the connection when I switch from one Archer C80 to another Archer C80 will not be broken, but this is not the case because Wi-Fi connection breaks every time I switch from one Archer C80 to another Archer C80!
I think TP-Link did it on purpose so that these devices in access point mode can't work and the connection is broken with each transition from one access point to another access point because they force us to buy new devices like range extenders must have onemesh!
I have proof of that because I also have three TL-WA901ND devices that also work in access point mode and which work perfectly and the Wi-Fi connection is never interrupted when switching from one device to another!
Also who owns at least two pieces of Router Mercusys AC12G can try and the connection will also never be broken when switching from one access point to another access point.
This only happens on newer TP-Link routers because they deliberately blocked it, to make us have to buy their new devices again every time !!!
That is why I am so disappointed and angry with the TP-Link company that in the future I will never buy any of their products again !!!

@Chozmo Forget tp-link, buy something else. I had two Archer C6 but i give up. Now I use Xiaomi Redmi AX5 and AX6 (wifi 6) routers. Work fine in Mesh network.

so i have a problem with three pieces of Archer C80.
The current device layout topology in my house is this as I am now posting a picture in this post.
I own three pieces of Archer C80 in the house, where one is on the ground floor and works in Router Mode, and the other two Archer C80 upstairs and work in Access Point Mode.
They are connected with LAN cables CAT6 and it happens when I walk between the ground floor and the first floor (when I switch from one AP to another AP) that the connection is lost for a moment and returned after three or four seconds.
It also happens when I walk and switch between the Archer C80 running in Router Mode and walking to the Archer C80 running in Access Point Mode.
Believe me I tried everything but the Wi-Fi connection is definitely and always broken when switching from one device to another!
Let me also mention that I specified identical parameters on all three Archer C80 devices for Wi-Fi network (same Network Name (SSID), same Security: WPA / WPA2-Personal, same Version: WPA2-PSK, same Encryption: AES, same Password: TP-Link70 test, same Channel Width: 20 MHz, but different channels to avoid overlap)
But it always happens that the connection is terminated by switching from one Archer C80 to another C80!
If you can, try it in your service department on your Archer C80 devices and you will see that this problem will constantly exist and will not be solved!

As I read more and more I can not understand why... I am disappointed...
I was thinking to buy 2 x AX20 routers for Wi-Fi 6 OneMesh but it is not possible. AX20 cost around 85$ and RE605X AX1800 cost 110$. So If I want 1 x AX20 and 2 x RE605X AX1800 I have to pay ~ 300$. For this money I can buy 3 x AX20 for around ~ 250$ and I will have 12 1 Gbit LAN ports, 3 x USB 2.0 and other advantages of routers. Am I right or not? Or I should buy AX20 ~ 85$ and Deco X20 (2-pack) ~ 260$ for ~ 345$ But where are my 12 1 Gibt LAN ports ?

Another disappointed customer here.
I dont see why can't TPlink cannot enable OneMesh between routers.
It is totally false advertising when the routers are sold as OneMesh capable.
Hope TP Link works on this and release a new firmware that enable OneMesh between routers.
