@Contemplator I guess TP linkdeosn't make CAT 6 cables. I have been using Amazon Basics totally VFM cable without any hitch.You can check it out.

@Vanasaur one question for more experienced tech. I bought cat 6 STP cable, apropriate connectors, but archer ax10 says "Your ethernet cable does not support gigabyte speed". I checked cable conection via non exoensive tester and all is ok. What would be the cause? Conection works well on 100 Mbps speed, but why not 1000? Should I try and put another connectors on? Cable lebgth is 33m. 

@ToniK2000 Based on a quick Google search cat 6 STP give good speeds(1000) even up to a 100 meters, so I do not think it is the length that is the issue. Perhaps the RJ45 connector is not for high speed, I would replace good quality ones that promise 1000 Mbps speed.

They are exactly the same physically. Just beware that Gigabit Ethernet use all pairs while 100Mbit Ethernet does not.

Therefore if you have crappy connectors and/or cables, they may only support 100Mbit.

The EAP610 is mounted high on the wall and has a CAT6 cable running down from the ceiling. The router and fiber termination point is in the garage (along with a NAS) -- CAT6 starts in the garage and runs about 40 feet along the attic to the center of the house then down through a pass-through wall adapter.

Thinking a cheap POE "booster" for the CAT6 cable in the garage will work -- but I don't know what to look for.

I don't think you can do so here, because that doesn't allow to make CAT6 Cables

CAT6 is a standardised twisted pair cable for Ethernet that is backward compatible with CAT5/5e and CAT3 cable standards. Like CAT5e, CAT6 cables support Gigabit Ethernet segments up to 100 m, but they also allow for use in 10-Gigabit networks over alimited distance.
