Archer MR600(EU) V1 - BETA Firmware - Allowing selection of 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually
Hi all,
Following the long thread on the same subject discssing the BETA FW, as I said I would, TPLink have given me permission to share the FW download llink.
From TPLink - We recently released a beta firmware for Archer MR600(EU) V1 which can allow us to select 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31.zip
For Archer MR600, if you want to use its 4G+network, your SIM card should support the CA bands group Archer MR400 supports. Please check the attached picture and check if your SIM card supports the band groups on the list or not.
They asked me to state that, this BETA FW is for the Archer MR600(EU) V1 ONLY!
Neither TPLink nor me take any respnsbility if you flash a none-EU router.

In normal vertical mode, SNR improves, which does not give us benefit. End of day, we need speed...
Problem is, I find the SNR reading very inconsistent, it changes from 6 dB to 18 dB without moving the antenna. My lab spectrum analyzer shows no change in SNR in the same period and antenna orientation.

@darant Hey
I am from India.

I Have 2 Questions.
1. Can we select band 3 and band 41 manually in band A and Band B? if yes, then its work fine?
2. Can we select same band in both Band A and Band B(like 3 in both A and B or 5 in both etc)? if yes, then its work fine?

Works fine in airtel and Jio, but make sure you have good signal strength in both bands, if not it will come back to single band(either A or B) after sometime.

Depends on your service provider, as I checked Airtel has this feature (eg. A:40 & B:40). this is called intraband CA.
Jio has only interband CA in my location (eg: A:3 & B:40 , A:5 & B40)
But make sure you have good signal in both bands.

@Nitin10 Band 3 and Band 41 (VI) cannot be aggregated. Please see page 1. Band 41+41 is supposed to be supported by TP LINK MR600. I tried, It did not work for me. Band 41 is from Vodafone Idea.

Does the MR600 V2 Available in India? In My place the fastest CA is band 1 + band 3. Looks like V1 doesn't support CA on B1+ B3. I have ordered MR600 last week. Lets see which one I receive.
Looks like currently MR600 is out of stock in both Amazon and Flipkart. Does that mean new stock will be V2?

@Nitin10 Vodafone Idea SIM supports CA in 1+8, 3+8 only. 3+8 speed is good, but if disconnected, it refuses to reconnect. Band 41 is stable, but with meagre speed of 10-12 mbps.

@AP_Techie If you are not for CA ie., only band 3, then please mount vertically. It will help. Only when you do CA, tilted mounting helps.
