Archer MR600(EU) V1 - BETA Firmware - Allowing selection of 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually
Hi all,
Following the long thread on the same subject discssing the BETA FW, as I said I would, TPLink have given me permission to share the FW download llink.
From TPLink - We recently released a beta firmware for Archer MR600(EU) V1 which can allow us to select 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31.zip
For Archer MR600, if you want to use its 4G+network, your SIM card should support the CA bands group Archer MR400 supports. Please check the attached picture and check if your SIM card supports the band groups on the list or not.
They asked me to state that, this BETA FW is for the Archer MR600(EU) V1 ONLY!
Neither TPLink nor me take any respnsbility if you flash a none-EU router.

@Piersandro I am only basing my statement on what's been said elsewhere in this forum. Globally, different band combination are used by carriers, and router manufacturers make choices as to which modems to use that support certain bands and their combinations.
For example, the Huawei B525 doesn't support 1+3 and the more modern B535 does.
Happy to be corrected by anyone if what I'm summarising is incorrect.

@dgr1 unfortunately that's not entirely true!
the B525-65a from "Three Austria" supports band 1/3
the support confirmed that to me.

@Wuchte Yes, you are right. Which proves my point that this is all quite complicated and most people won't fully appreciate what they are buying until they try it for themselves.

bene, ma non si ricevono gli sms...
A cosa è servito il firmware precedente studiato per riceverli? doveva essere compreso in questo firmware per bande manuali. Giusto?
Come si risolve il problema degli sms?
Grazie

Still seeing stability issues on the beta build.
Needing to reboot once or twice a day.
Downloads start, but slow to a halt before failing.
Streaming churns, even though speedtests show high results. SSLs fail to load and require refreshes, then instantly work.
To be honest. Really unimpressed by this products stability. May have to send it back.

@Piersandro Yes, this worked for me too. It did retain settings though.
