No 160 Mhz channel width option for 5 Ghz in Archer C2300 V2. Replaced my v1 with v2 for this...
Good evening. After seeing that the new version v2 of Archer C2300 has Wave2, MU-MIMO and 160 Mhz channel width on 5 Ghz Wifi network implemented, I decided to buy this version to replace my C2300 v1. My ISP is DIGI ROMANIA and I have a fiber optic internet connection with 1Gb band, max 950 Mbs download and 500 Mbs upload. So I wanted to take advantage of this speed on Wifi too. The laptop I own is an Asus GL753VE with Intel i7-7700HQ processor, 32GB DDR4, 500GB Samsung Evo Plus SSD. In the original configuration I had an Intel AC7265 wireless card but this week I purchased an Intel AX200NGW WIFI6 network card that supports MU-MIMO technology and can connect to 5 Ghz network at 160 Mhz channel width if its a standalone 160 Mhz not two contiguous 80 Mhz band .
The card was installed properly but I have a big problem. In both the firmware version that came with the router (1.0.3 Build 20190923 rel.59091(4555)) and in the latest version(1.0.4 Build 20200211 rel.67420), with ot without activating Enable Multi-User MIMO which my board supports, 160 Mhz does not appear at Channel width but only Auto / 20/40 / 80MHz. I mention that I upgraded to the latest firmware version and it's the same situation. On TP-Link website there is a emulator for C2300 v2 which has the firmware 1.0.3 Build 20190923 rel.59091(4555) and the option 160 Mhz appears. I would like to know if there is something I do not do well in the configuration or the firmware option is not implemented yet. I changed the router and the network board precisely for this and it does not seem ok to have made an investment of 170 Euros for something that is not working. I mention that I am good at the configuration side and I do not think I did something wrong as I'm working as Marketing & IT Manager at the Skoda & Opel Bacau Auto Center (Romania) for over 14 years. But who knows, maybe I missed something ... I've sent this problem to TP-Link support and I wait to see what will be their answer. Are there other users that have Archer c2300 V2 and have the same problem?
