@Cyberlexie

Solution: for those of us who are lucky enough to have a VPN provider who allows L2TP, PPTP and PPPoE can connect to a VPN.

Go to advanced, network, internet and select L2TP, PPTP or PPPoE and enter the domain name. Connection mode is manual.

Hit save and then hit connect. The IPs will populate and the router will be connected.

While these protocols do not encrypt but rather anonymize, use the provider’s app at those times when encryption is necessary.

@Kevin_Z Hi Kevin, any updates on when TP-link will enable VPN client on the AX11000?  I just purchased this router this past month and only now realize that VPN client is not available.  I'm considering returning my AX11000 while I can but if TP-link is planning to implement VPN client, then I'll reconsider.

  @Cyberlexie Please could you provide an update on the Open VPN Client functionality availability?

I require the VPN Client functionality asap.  Otherwise, I must return the item.
