Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I find the poweline connection to be unreliable, can it be switched to just use the etheret backhaul over the powerline data transmission?

each P9 is connected via a cat5e network cable in a dasiy chain from the main deco, its in router mode and Hub (virgin hub3.0) is in modem mode. Im dropping from 320Mbs to 110Mbs when connected to the deco mesh, in comparison to when I am connected to the hub directly.

Feeling is this is due to the powerline system and the size of my installed electrical system?

Thanks

Pete

@SquidgyPete

Hi Pete, compared to powerline backhaul and wireless backhaul, the ethernet backhaul has higher priority. With Deco P9 connected by cat5e cable, the ethernet backhaul will take effect.

As for the speed issue, we will do some troubleshooting to locate this issue and try to fix it.

1. What is the speed you can get from the main Deco with your computer connected to it.

2. Try to swap the location of the Deco units or switch the slave Deco to the main Deco to give it a shot.

3. Have you ever setup QoS? If so, please swipe it out and do not setup the bandwidth.

Good day.
