Recently my household grew by 3 roommates and the internet seems to get bogged down at times when we’re all using it. I’m trying to narrow down to the route cause. My current configuration is: ISP plan: 75Mbps Modem: Arris Surfboad SB6141 Router: TP Link On Hub TGR1900.

I know 75Mbps is not a super fast plan but wanted to make sure this issue wasn’t with some of my hardware. No one in the house is gaming so worst case is 4-5 netflix streams at a time usps tracking showbox.

Doing some research is think my modem is quite old with download/upload channels at 8x4 so i’m thinking of updating that but i’m not sure if there is a direct correlation between increased number of users on network and number of channels needed.

I appreciate anyone’s input. Thanks
