Anyone had compatibility issues with TP-Link mains adapters and ZyXEL routers? I had to re-set the router for it to recognise the TP-Link adapters, which it did for a couple of minutes, then it disconnected them again.

@Kevin_Z TL-WPA4220. The router is a ZyXEL VMG8924-B10A. After re-setting the router, the adapters started working correctly and both the TV (which was hardwired to the TP-Link adater) and Wi-Fi on my phone started to work as expected. Then within a few minutes the connection was lost. I have installed so many of the TP-Link adapters (it is my job), and never had this happen before.

Many thanks.

Hello, thanks for your valued reply.

What is the led status of TL-WPA4220 when they stop working? Especially the powerline led.

In the meantime, with computer connected to the TP-Link adapter by wired cable, please click here to get the IP address and gateway. And try to ping the IP address of the adapter and the gateway of the main router.

To locate the root cause, please connect your computer to the main router directly, bypass the TP-Link adapter and verify whether you can get internet;

You can try to change another wall socket to plug them to test the stability and you can locate them in the same room to do a comparison analysis.

May it help.
