TD-8968 does not find default gateway

TD-8968 does not find default gateway

Firmware Version :
ISP : Movistar
I got an ADSL connection with Movistar Spain, static IP. When I configure the TD-8968 all works well, it syncs but does not connect to internet. When I diagnose the connection the modem pass tests at ATm level but is not able to find the default gateway. I got another modem (the one to be substituted with the 8968) that it works with the configuration I am triying to use. Is there some step I am missing or is the modem faulty?
