OpenVPN Client
Is TP-Link ever going to release an update that allows OpenVPN Client to run on their home routers?
I see I can get an Asus RT-AC51U for good price but I do not really want to replace my current TP-link routers?

Hello ,
I have gone thru all the above and I checked it all and seems my setup is fine but there is a problem with the router firmware by the way I report this to your support engineer and he confirmed there is a problem but still no fix for this?

Hi,
If your case had been followed up by the engineers, it is suggested to reply him directly and he will help you resolve it if there is an issue.
Thanks.

@Kevin_Z Hello. Is there any followup on this matter? Any ETA on implementing OpenVPN Client functionality on C6?

Hello,
There is currently no plan to add the support for OpenVPN client settings on the Archer C6, it only offers a VPN server (OpenVPN and PPTP).
Good day.

I just took delivery of an AX20.
The spec sheet indicated the router supports OpenVPN, so I bought it assuming OpenVPN client wouldn't be an issue.
I have a couple of TP-Link devices in my home network, but this one will be returned and based on the the tone of some responses in this thread this will be my last TP-Link device.
Guess I'll be upgrading my old ASUS with an ASUS.

I have tplink WR850N model wifi device.
I want to configure as VPN SERVER CLIENT so it will connect to open vpn server than my lan users will get a dhcp ip from this router and once connected they will directly connect & pass through open vpn server...
How I can achieve this ?
thanks

@Kevin_Z Hello, I just wanted to say I had the same problem and that helped me quite a lot so thank you.

Hello, the WR850N is a customized version for Service Providers in the local market, which means the firmware of the router might be self-designed by your ISP, it doesn't support VPN client settings, sorry about that.

Please prioritize adding "OpenVPN Client" in TP-Link's routers, this is much needed functionality. I recently purchased "Archer MR200", I am really disappointed that OpenVPN Client functionality is not available, even though OpenVPN server's option is available.
Please add vpn client options too, I believed it is so common that it should be implicit part of the any router.
Please make adding VPN Client a priority. Thank you.

Arif
