Model: AC50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190412 Rel.66770n

Unfortunately I couldn't select my device model (Archer MR600)

Hello

My phone gateway Arris TG2492 doesn't support parental control. That's the reason I bought the Archer MR600. The gateways standard ip address is 192.168.0.1.

If I use the Archer for a second network (variant 1):

  • the wlan timetable is working
  • the parental control isn't working

(the same problem, if I use Archer MR600 as Access Point 192.168.0.2)

If I use the gateway in bridged mode (variant 2):

the wlan timetable and the parental control are working

I want to use variant 1 (or MR600 as Access Point)

The parental control works with mac addresses. But the router doesn't block the clients, although the mac adresses are registered in control unit correctly. May the router send the mac addresses to the gateway router first instead of blocking them?

Is there a solution?

@jlipp

Hello, the Archer MR600 is selectable when you created the thread, you may missed that. And it does not support parental control in access point mode.

May I know what is the operation mode of it in variant 1?

With MR600 works in regular router mode, the devices connected to the MR600 will be limited based on the parental control settings.

Note: You need login to the web UI of Archer MR600 and change the operation mode to wireless router mode. Then go to parental control page to set it up.

If it still does not work, please show us the screenshots of the parental control settings page.

May it help.

Thank you for your help. I already sent the device back because of the disconnects. (I mentioned in another thread https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/176312?replyId=388812) Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
