Hi there,

I've establish a network environment with tp-link router. I found that the router would issue frequent non-standard IGMP packets and it caused one of my connected device crash. Refer to the following file, you can see that the router issues many IGMP general query during a short time and the destination MAC address is not "01:00:5e:00:00:01". Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

What is the model number of your TP-Link router? Have you ever enabled IGMP/IGMP proxy? 

 

What is the model number of the affected device? What about other devices? Do they have the same issue?

 

When the device stops working, try to check its IP address and gateway obtained from the router. And try to ping the gateway of the main router, which is 192.168.0.1 by default mostly.

The model name is TL-WR742L and IGMP is enabled for sure.

The crashed device is a dye-sub printer and I think it reboot due to insufficient memory allocation resulting from IGMP packets.

However, why does the router issue so strange muticast packets like this? It's not necessary to issue IGMP general querier to each device in theory.
